My Rikon 14" Bandsaw is finally assembled!!!

Featured Replies

I finally got the bandsaw put together!

I have been dealing with pneumonia so I have been running slow and am not supposed to make sawdust until I get it under control. So I have been working on it bit by bit over this past week and got it all wrapped up today and fired it up. It runs very nicely and cuts well on the test cuts (don't tell my wife or Doctor that I made a teeny, tiny bit of sawdust). I currently have the factory blade in it but I have got  3 new Lenox blades ready to go. I have it on a HTC mobile base so I can move it around as needed like the rest of my machines. I am very happy with it and am looking forward to being able use it soon.

Allen, that is a really nice saw.  Its a shame you can't use it for a bit. :(

Congrats Allen! Pneumonia can’t stop you from making sawdust! But you should’ve followed the doctor’s advice. It’s for your own good. Anyways, you got there a nice looking saw. Waiting to get running.

Great looking bandsaw! Your secrets safe with us we won't tell. Does the saw have a dust collection port? Can't wait to see your full review on how well she performs. Get well soon Allen!
