My Buddy Rob and his Work

Featured Replies

Rob is killing it big time with the Live Oak in our neck of the woods!

I am heading up there soon to drop off some owl boxes he ordered from dad. I hope to see some of his latest work. He sent me some pics of his Live Oak Cabinets, most importantly, look at the grain, I just love the Live Oak.

Wild and absolutely awesome figure, only found in the west, and it looks like the west, wild and untamed!

Wow that is some great colored wood. I would love to do some turnings with that. :)

That's Cool!

I was watching a program, on TV yesterday, about the USS Constitution- "Old Ironsides". They said the ship was constructed from "live oak". This particular tree had characteristics that made the wood ideal for the ship's ribs.
