A Wooden Boat!

Featured Replies

A great friend of mine and a woodworking buddy built this boat some years back. After my dad passed away a few weeks ago, they took my wife and out for a evening on the boat to just get away from things for a few a little while.

It took him 16 years to build the boat and he all the wooden parts of the boat.

And a couple more shots in the pilot house.

Some of the shot show some of the great woodworking on all of the cabinets and other parts of the boat. One really has to go aboard to see first hand his wonderful woodworking and appreciate it. I didn't get enough pictures to show you all of the inlay work and special touches he added to his project.

Thanks Ron B. for a great evening out!

It is truly a beautiful boat and the pictures don't do it justice.  John didn't mention that on the upper deck there is a kalliope that syncs up with his laptop.  Ron also built it.

Wow, what a nice piece of work. Anyone would be proud to own such a beautiful boat. I'm glad you got to spend some time on it John.
