September 20, 201213 yr Hi all I have been browsing most of the wood sites today in search of 4 pieces of wood.I prefer a darker maple, but anything that will go nicely with an amber color liquid will work. The wood has to be dry and free of splits. Size at least 2.5x2.5x8I am still looking around on places like eBay but so far I am only finding wet stuff.ThanksCharles NichollsSite Hostnicholls61@att.netProud supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project, Homes For Our Troops and the NRAhttp://www.etsy.com/shop/nichollswoodworks

September 20, 201213 yr Author If I can get one that has grain that very closely matches, that wouldn't be a problem. As a matter of fact, iu have 2 here, but they are not long enough. Definitely wide enough, but not long enough. September 20, 201213 yr Charles for small pieces you can dry them out in a microwave. I've tried this technique on a few occasions and I've not had any problems. I'll see if I can find the link I used and I'll send it to you.www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
