September 26, 201213 yr Author  Just a little Block plane, looks like it was made by Sargent.    There is a number under the cap, not sure if a sargent was called "13"  for a type of block plane.  The big guy is a short #6, seems to be either a Union, or an Ohio Tool Co. plane.   iron is stamped "SAVAGE"  not sure if that means "Savage Arms Co." or not.    Iron is a might small.   Iron is 2-1/4' wide, as is the chip breaker, the lever cap, tough, is 2-3/8" wide.   Frankie been missing with old planes????Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'

September 26, 201213 yr Author Got a little bit done today, working around a CT Scan of Chest, with Contrast at noonish.  Know more about the tests later this week.  As for them planes...The big one's japanning is just about all gone.  The little guy is a little better. Iron's:  The bigger one is stamped "SAVAGE" and is 2.25" wide.    It has a strange hole in it as well..six-sided, no less!  Some say OHIO Tool Co. made these type of holes.   I do think the frog is a Union, early style..short step, short bolts, twisted lateral.  Still working on the adjuster wheel.  Might be brass, might not. It's getting there, SLOWLY....
