September 28, 201213 yr  In a Hand Tool Forum?   Yep, IF the Smelly BLO is going on a Wood bodied plane ( Look Ma, NO POLY!)  28" of old wood from a Trans Hand plane...After two coats of this stuff.  Did i say it was SMELLY?    Just a small plane, right? A look at the side grain?Have to leve this plane on the back porch, wife don't like the smell...  While I was out there, decided to abuse that old Poplar board a bit...First trip down Poplar lane.   After a couple more..Curlie shavings are floating across the yard!   Hard to stop planing with this big guy, but another was waiting it's turn...Looks like an old picture of two "Battlewagons" sitting in a Harbour?    Savage #6 has a mouth full!  Then it tried to hide behind the plank...More shavings to float around in the grass.   Do this enough, I might have some mulch, later.   A block plane wanted in on the fun, and took a "Joyride" along the Poplar Lane.....Must have come in on a Red Eye Flight?   Just playing around, waiting on that SMELLY BLO to dry.  Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'

September 28, 201213 yr Author Stanley made one that was even longer, a 30" #34.    This 33 weighs about the same as a #6, or a #7 iron plane.   It will make just about any long edge straight.  Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'
