First off, hello to all of my friends that I've badly neglected here at The Patriot Woodworker.  I've had a ton of things going on that's kept me from doing any serious woodworking for quite some time now but hopefully I'm getting to the point where I can get back into the shop again.  I've been able to do a few things in the shop but mostly I've just been able to acquire materials and tools for when I do get back into the shop.  All the while selling tools that I've been able to upgrade to better ones which brings me to why I'm here.  While selling a chisel set on ebay I was contacted by a Lady that has a mentally challenged young man that was wanting some carving tools.  The set had already gotten a bid so I wasn't able to just end the auction and send them to her.  I told her not to bid on the auction because I was gonna find some tools that I would give to Ray.  I also told her that I knew of a network of very kind woodworkers that would probably jump at the chance to do the same.  Because I know that there's such a generous bunch here I won't supply the mailing address publicly because I can imagine a bombardment of tools arriving at this Lady's house if I did.  I've got a couple of tools that I can send to her but I've gotten my collection to a point where most of my carving tools are higher end razors that I wouldn't think would be a good idea to put into the hands of any young beginner.  What I'm looking for is anything that might be safety minded like a spokeshave, lower end carving tools, etc.

I'm about to go out of town for a couple of days to attend to a passing in my Wife's family, but when I return I will pm the address to anyone interested so you can send anything you're able to directly to Ray and his caregiver.  Thank you very much in advance.

Great to see ya Joshua! Hope all is well buddy with you and yours!

Joshua, good to hear from you and we are very sorry for your family's loss. Hope everyone is doing okay under the circumstances.

Thanks for updating on this project and hopefully we can do something to help out. Let us know when you are back and if you know of anything specifically needed.
