October 3, 201213 yr comment_23020 John Moody and I were chatting last night and he reminded me a tip that I can't take credit for but I can pass it on. A couple of years ago Larry Jenkins gave me this procedure and I use it alot. Wipe on poly is a terriffic hard and durable finish for just about everything but it can be a bit tempermental because of lint from your cloth. The solution is to use nylon panty hose. Use only clean nylon because of lotions and contaminants and cut a piece about 6-8 inches long and fold it and then fold it again. The nylon will absorb just enough wipe on poly to apply but not so much that it will run. Wipe in overlapping sections. The nylon is lint free and does a great job. Try it. It really does work.
