Wish I could do that, Ed.

My router lift broke (due to my inattention) and I just heard the parts were on back order and won't be shipped until tomorrow.

I'm not one to multi-task, so for the next 5 days, I'm relegated to cleaning and organizing.

John, you think you'll get to put a finish on this one?

I just got the shadowbox done all I had to do was installed the latches and need to purchase some glass for the flag display cases and put some finish on them and I will be done with them.

Thanks for asking Ed, I am in the process of getting a turned maple box done. I only have a forstner bit of 1.5" so I am using that for the majority of the hollowing. Then I'll go from there as to how to shape the rest of the inside. I am not sure yet how I want to shape the outside but I have some idea's I'll test on scrap and see what it looks like before making it final.

I have a piece that matches the top ring of the box that I will use for a lid. Sorry about the washed out image, I guess I had too much light on the subject.

Gene, that is a good question. I think I am going to post a question about that in the finishing forum so we can follow up there.

Thanks

Three items right now.    Wiring for an electric range in the Kitchen.   Cheaper than buying a NEW Gas Range.   (Done)

I have a small, Beech table top, still in the clamps, and a set of Beech aprons.  Trying to get back out to the Barn Shop to make some legs(  either turned, or tapered??)  Top needs to be planed flat.   On hold due to Moving Day.

Man John you are going to have to get a bigger work bench will all of that on it. No wonder you can't find time to check in and read messages. That is a lot of work and time.

Hope you get the cheese board order. It is nice to be able to stay busy in the shop.

I have January and February that ae pretty much Show free so my end goal is to weather the storm until then and then go nuts building inventories. Hopefully I'll be able to add a few new items to the mix as well.

Same here John. I have about three more shows to do this year and then January and February off. I will spend that time getting as much as I can made to be ready for the start of the season in March. I have already committed to a couple of shows for next year so I am already putting my calendar together.

On the bench and on the floor are the kitchen cabinets that I'm renovating.  There's been a change of, plans.  I was going to veneer the fronts and replace the doors (which are finished).  Instead, after I pulled the cabinets off the wall I found that making new solid oak faces was easier than veneering.  As I type this, Im have all on the upper cabinets re-faced except one.
