October 26, 201213 yr Do anyone of you guys make your cutting boards with rounded corners or just straight 90 deg corners? Also what about the ( not sure I calling this right) sort of drip groove where you can scrape of the excess from the center of the board while cutting the food?ThanksWayne EWayne E
October 26, 201213 yr Wayne I round all of the corners on my boards. I do some with the drip groove and some without. I have also done them where there was the drip groove on one side and not the other so both sides of the board could be used.I round the corners with my oscillating belt sander.I use a trim router with a core box bit to cut the drip groove and an edge guide on the router. I cut mine with the outside edge of the groove is 1" from the side of the board.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com

October 29, 201213 yr Plunge router will work. I just use the trim router cause it is small and light. John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com

October 29, 201213 yr I do as John said and round over the edges with a 1/4" round over. But I also round the corners so there are no sharp edges.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
