November 11, 201213 yr For many years my wife would see something she likes and ask me to make her one. I have always been able to do that with just a quick look or a picture. She did it again today and am not too sure how to proceed. She showed me a "quilt necklace" It consisted of a string necklace with wooden circles and geometric shapes on it that were mini quilt patterns. They were made of tiny triangles and squares of different woods glued together and then turned into a round pattern about the size of a fifty cent piece. I have an idea, glue the small pieces in strips and then cut them across, making a flat piece that has different woods in it. Reglue the flat pieces to other cuttings, but move them slightly so that it creates a pattern. When you get enough piled and glued together, turn them down.  Sound reasonable? The picture she had was very small and I couldn't get a good look. Have anyone ever made such a thing?
