November 19, 201213 yr Hi all, Â Since I got it posted to my FB page already, I'll go ahead and post it here too. Tea-light candles seem to be what a lot of people are using these days, and a FB friend of mine had made one of these several months back out of a different wood, so I decided to try my hand at it. While my version is seeming to be taller than it is wide, it still has a base on it wide enough that it shouldn't tip over if bumped into. It's 3 5/8 wide at the top about 4 1/8" at the bottom & about 2 1/4" tall. I have yet to finish the side and bottom yet, and by the picture it looks like I still have a bit of end grain issue going on there so I'll work on that and repost to this thread when done. I also recently was asked if I could make a few handles, and so I decided to make a mockup of sorts to make sure. Come to find out that it's a lot more simple than I thought it would be. It's made from Cherry and is not completely finished, I would show a updated picture but my helper is sitting on my picture area looking out the window at the birds of all things, I wonder why? Anyway, enjoy your week, or at least get through it if you can't enjoy it and we'll catch ya all later..
