November 24, 201213 yr It is often overlooked, that avatar that you are assigned to when you first join our forum. And the avatar that our members often choose to stay with. It's a Lie Nielsen No.3 Bronze folks. A beautiful example of the quality of Lie Nielsen tools. Awhile back I was looking for a default avatar for our members profiles. I am a horrible photographer, so I had to scour the internet for pictures that looked suitable for our network. While surfing the net I realized the answer was right in front of me. I am a huge fan of LN tools, and I love their images on their site. What a perfect match! So I emailed Lie Nielsen and explained who we are, and asked if I could use the No. 3 Bronze image from their site. They told me of course! They would be happy to provide us the image for a such a worthy site and the causes we support. Not only that but they went a step further and stated we could use any image on their site! So we did. The above image is our default "Groups" avatar. Look at those beautiful shavings. Â So there ya have it, the history behind our avatars. Thank you Lie Nielsen!!!!
