November 26, 201213 yr Made some good progress in the shop over the Thanksgiving holidays. Got an Oak Edge board ready to round over the edges and corners and give a final sanding before Mineral Oil is applied. Got five boards in the clamping jig that will be ready to remove tonight and start through the drum sander. Got three small boards ready to put in the clamping jig as soon as the others are removed. And got all of the supports for the four porch swings cut and ready to sand the edges smooth. Well I got all but one and broke the blade in my band saw. Got a new one on order so it should be here by the time I get all of these sanded smooth. And will all the work going on I had a great time with family also. Got my mom out of the Assisted Living and to my sons house. My two brothers and all their family were there. We enjoyed a good time together eating and just getting to visit and laugh. Here is my mom with my older brother. Hope you all had a great time thanksgiving and got to spend time with family and doing whatever it is you like to do. Give us an update on how you Thanksgiving weekend went. John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
November 26, 201213 yr John, you make me ashamed. My weekend was not nearly as productive as yours. Got my case all routed, and sanded one time. The rest of the weekend was spent with family. My son's birthday was on Thanksgiving so we honored his request for lobster and crab legs. Wife's sister and hers husband and their daughter came  for that meal. Then we went to their house on Friday for the traditional turkey feast. Saturday was Son's fiancee's birthday (they got engaged Wednesday) so, we celebrated again. Here's a photo of her and her cake. There are actually 35 candles ablaze. Gene'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.' G. K. Chesterton
