December 4, 201213 yr It's gotten so I am a bloody7 fool for buying anything there except construction grade crud. I picked up 5 sheets of oak ply at home depot. I'd purchased their oak ply before and then it was good both sides fairly void free and inclusion free. This lot had only one good side. The voids are plentiful, and there are steel inclusions in the laminations. This is a slot for setting the adjustable shelving rack - which is also a lot cheezier than the last time I bought them at the BORG.
December 5, 201213 yr Cliff, do you have a hardwood lumber retailer in your area? I hate to say it but the big box stores are really catering to those who don't know the difference between good and bad lumber anymore. You got some bad stuff for sure Cliff! December 7, 201213 yr Yea the "top choice" stuff they sell makes me scratch my head in wonder what the bottom grade stuff would look like. GregSite hosthttp://www.thesawdustfactoryga.com/
December 7, 201213 yr Author I didn't expect it to be this piss poor quality. If this were a project I really cared about the cosmetics of I'd have gone to my local lumber guy, but it's just a wall storage system for my brewery: not a room one goes into for any purpose other than to brew or fetch a beer. But in the future the BORG is going to get the same love from me that The Captain of the Enterprise has for his BORG.
