December 6, 201213 yr John posted a free set of plans for this puzzle. I made one to test to see how easy it was and it takes only about 45 minutes and that includes applying an oil finish. If you start out with a clean forstner bit it will save you an hour of sanding the inner cube to get rid of rings caused by build up on the horizontal cutter of the bit which I did not do so I have rings on the inner cube. Mine is made with maple and finished with BLO. They are quick, easy, cheap and fun to make and will make a fun stocking stuffer. I plan on making several of these. They would make a great paper weight for someones desk. http://www.thepatriotwoodworker.com/forum/topics/free-plan-alert-1 www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
