December 6, 201213 yr Here it is after one coat of my super secret, highly technical wiping varnish formula. :-) Nothing fancy. Just a utilitarian case to carry guns from home to the range and back. Mesquite veneer over BB, maple, and walnut. Inside. The wife made a tool bag that will lay in the space next to the bullet block. She's going to cover the foam cushioning in the lid and lower body of the case with the same denim like material. Normally, I like to french fit these but, he trades guns and buys different ones quite often. So, a one size fits all solution seemed the best. However, the bullet block is glued in and the holes are sized for .45. Here is some of the hardware. A few more coats of Watco and marine varnish, and the hardware can be installed. Thanks for looking. December 6, 201213 yr Gene that is an awesome case. Man a wooden case to carry your guns back and forth to the range is just too cool. I love it and so unique. He should really enjoy that.John MoodySite AdministratorJohn Moody Woodworkshttp://www.johnmoodywoodworks.com
