December 7, 201213 yr For years have had about 10 to 15 small boards stored standing up in a dry place. Here in CO, everywhere is about a dry place. These boards are all hardwood and exotic. They range from 4 ft long & downward.I made a flat storage place for them, off the cement and out of my way. (that is why I wanted to move them) I am not well informed about wood storage and have a couple of questions. Now that they are dried and well seasoned, are they safe from warping? Is the flat place OK??
December 8, 201213 yr You should be fine and if they were going to warp they should have during the drying process. I would still sticker them.www.thepatriotwoodworker.com Proud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops
December 9, 201213 yr Yep, just slide em in anywhere Ron, as long as it's flat. Your right about keeping them off the cement, I have laid kiln dried boards on cement for a couple days, and they wicked moisture right out of the cement and the boards warped.John MorrisThe Patriot WoodworkerProud Supporter of Homes For Our Troops and Wounded Warriors Project
