What projects did YOU get done this weekend

Featured Replies

I know that it is in the Christmas season and our thoughts and projects are aimed at our loved ones and special people.  Share with the rest of us what you got finished this past weekend.  If your special project did not get finished, then share with us what that special project is.

As for me, I finished up a couple of maps that need to be shipped.  My special project right now is for my son and his wife.  "The Gentle Eagle"  Has close to 300 cuts inside 11 X 17".  Probably have about 10 hours in it so far.  Will share the final picture when completed.

How about the rest of y'all????

Didn't get a picture yet, but will take some this evening when I get home.

I turned a seam ripper for someone on special request and got all of my pens for troops turned and ready to ship out.

Got the first van load down into the new shop.    Spent all day today, sharpening plane irons.    Seems a few have been "neglected" lately.    Set up the beltsander, set the honing guide to 25 degrees, and got out my stones, and sandpaper.

i got FIVE irons sharpened back up, including a scraub plane's iron.    THAT was a fun one to do.   The Millers falls plane has a temp set on board, new set is on the way.  ning-sdc13843-20085-19.jpg?width=721Looks like i'll just have to clean that gray paint, afterall...

Glad you got the first load completed.  How many more loads do have to go?

All I got done was this para cord bracelet jig, wife wants to try her hand at making them so I put this together for her. All I had to buy was the plastic buckles everything else was laying around waiting to be used. 2012121019.54.111.jpg?width=721

While I was in shop #2 making the jig, I took a few licks with the flat file on this no. 5 Bailey, it was in the shop building when i inherited it and some where in its life it had been broken and brazed back together. So every once in a while I hit it with the file , one day I'll get both sides smoothed out. The second pic is a no. 3, same thing only it must not have got dropped as hard only one side is brazed.

I think I have at least three more loads for a van, two if by Pickup Truck.   Two benches would be in the loads, got to have that plane bench down there in the Dungeon.
