January 6, 201313 yr  Well, it has taken almost a year, but I think I might have a set of Union made (1900-1917) handplanes. Not sure about who made the KK7 down in the shop, but, the following group are made by Union Mfg Co. of New Britain, CT. #3, #4G, #5A, and two #6s.  One was made for a Seth Savage Co.  the other was for Shipleigh hardware of St. Louie as a Diamond Edge DE6c.   Most are of the early Union plane era, usually called type #2.  A look at the bottoms..That #4 shows one of the bad sides of having grooves cut in the soles, rust!  The bottom three I have just finished "Re-Freshing".   One more look before the meeting is adjourned..Check out the lateral levers.  that is a Union trademark.   Meeting is now adjourned...
