January 11, 201313 yr  At the Doctor's offices ( Going through the "wringer" next week) so, tried out a few "Cheap" planes on a plank.  Making shavings is a way to relax...Handyman #1205 Jack plane, working along the edge.   Making them curl right up...After some fiddlin' around, I took this little "Twerp" along the edge, as well. (A Ridgerunner?)flipped the plank to work over the flatlands. First up, that Jack plane.leveling the playing field. nextA Handyman #1203 smoother.   Also a Flatlander.  This is a #3 sized plane.  Next up on the Prairie...A Sears Companion #4 size, By Stanley. Just finished a Re-furbish on it, now i put it to work.. Lastly.Hey, didn't I see you up on the Ridge? Now it's a Flatlander, too.  This is also the other face of the plank.  taking down a few ridges left by Pole Barn Owner's Power Planer.     Well, that was fun, time for a clean up of a box load of Oak shavings.   Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'
January 11, 201313 yr Author No glue in the Dungeon Shop.    Maybe next week?   Got a series of test Wed. and Thurs. next week.   Three hour hearing exam?  CT Scan of Sinus?   Tilt Table?     Them planes had better watch out next week.  The Little twerp is a Type 2, # 18 Knuckle Cap block plane.  I had the adjustable mouth set a might on the tight side.  The others? Well, there are just six planes down in the shop.   I needed a little room ON the bench.  There is a Card Table behind me, though.....Seems to be bowing in the middle. Ten bench planes, five block planes, and eight chisels.  I also have a small, plastic tool box with all my cleaning, and sharpening stuff in it.   I mean< STUFFED into in.  If the light tomorrow gets just right, I may take a picture of that abused table..Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'
January 11, 201313 yr Author  Them planks better hide today! 7:00 am wake up with a lower leg cramp ( still have, too) and Uncle Arthur working on the hip above it.   I had a baseball sized bump, right below the knee.  trying to hobble downstairs was a real "Joy".   Now I am in a foul mood, and I have about five block planes to work over.   Grrrrrrrrrr!I also have a couple larger planes to adjust. I might get some pictures of the mess, IF anybody wants to see them......Going to change my "handle" from bandit, to Hobbit, after this morning's wake up.    Still hobbling around,  GRRRR!  look out, Oak plank.......Sign on pick up truck's back window..:' Save a Horse, ride a Cowboy'
