January 13, 201313 yr +4 on SketchupHere is a link to a PDF that has a discussion between one of our members (Betsy) and a Sketchup Guru- https://www.box.com/files/0/f/17687724/1/f_186376452 This is actually a complete "lesson" on drawing an object in Sketchup and includes a lot of behind the scenes filler and tips.Another resource is a book that's available called "The Missing Manual- Google Sketchup" by Chris Grover ISBN 978-0-596-52146-2 and is available from Amazon. I found this book to be very helpful.Another resource is http://www.srww.com/blog/ he has a link there- http://www.srww.com/google-sketchup.htm that has a wealth of information, lessons, explanations and examples. As everyone else has said- there is a learning curve. But when someone does learn it, it is a wonderful tool for woodworking, and cut list's etc.Lewis Kauffman said:+4 on SketchupHere is a link to a PDF that has a discussion between one of our members (Betsy) and a Sketchup Guru- https://www.box.com/files/0/f/17687724/1/f_186376452 This is actually a complete "lesson" on drawing an object in Sketchup and includes a lot of behind the scenes filler and tips.Another resource is a book that's available called "The Missing Manual- Google Sketchup" by Chris Grover ISBN 978-0-596-52146-2 and is available from Amazon.
