Popular Post John Moody
It has been a while since I was out Patriot Picking, but Tuesday, my wife and I made it down to a flea market and I ran up on this Stanley No 45 in the Metal Box. I currently have one with an 1890's patent date in the wooden box and got to looking at this one and it spoke to me so I had to take it home. It looks like it had everything in the box with the wooden holder for the blades along with several other blades laying loose in the box. The box was in good condition and the lid fits nice and tight. It has been used, but doesn't appear to be abused. I am looking forward to cleaning this one up. It has a patent day of July 09, 1901. A nice find and look forward to getting it going. Dadio, p_toad, HARO50 and 5 others

Fred W. Hargis Jr
It's really cool. I love those, though I haven't tried using one. Actually, Steven is the only guy I've seen post about using one. I have one complete one and another that sold as a "parts" plane. HandyDan
Super find! I like the look of those but new I would never use it. Small block planes are all I have ever used. John Moody

"Hey y'all, look what followed me home. Can I keep it, huh, can I keep it please? I'll take really good care of it and all!!" Great find John...I've never seen one complete for sale anywhere up here. I've seen a few pieces/parts or the body but never a set in the box. Can't wait to see it a cleaned, sharpened and doing "curls!" steven newman, DuckSoup, HARO50 and 1 other
