  1. Wrapped this up today, was hoping to finish on Veterans Day, but.... found myself rushing to finish and that's never good.... Humidor (top portion) is removable, but fits nicely on the stand....

  3. I had this gentleman come to me and ask that I build him a couple of Shadow Boxes to display his Dad's old baseball gloves. A fielder glove And Catchers mitt. He was in no hurry and I have had a shop full of projects so I have worked on these off and on. I would set them aside and they would get covered up and not worked on. Last week I decided it was time to get them out and gone so I didn't have to move them anymore and damage them. Here are the frames I kept moving around. So I got the bottom in, glass cut and installed and the hinges and lock on. They are made from Red Oak with a General Finishes Mahogany Gel stain. They were then sprayed with four coats of General Finishes Enduro Var. They can either be display down or mounted on the wall. I am not sure what he is gong to put on the inside but I left the back the light color maple since the gloves were a dark brown to give some contrast and help them to stand out. One more project down and delivered.
  4. Well my Christmas projects are finally coming to an end. We had three Green Egg tables picked up over the weekend and that cleared out a lot of room in the shop. I finished up the Oak Lazy Susan and it got picked up yesterday. I also finished and will deliver this afternoon the two Walnut Shadow Boxes. Sunday afternoon I cut out and glued the pieces for a Lego Table. Last night when I got home and got everything sanded and most of the table assembled. I have a trim piece that will go around the top and stick up 3/4" so the pieces don't slide off the table. Then it gets spray painted and will be ready for Christmas Day. So I am about ready to clean up the shop and give it a rest for a week or two before we start on Next year. I hope you all have your projects finished. We have been very blessed in the shop this year and it has been quite busy.
