  1. This is the care package that I made up for my classmate friend. I hope this puts a smile on her face and some bounce in her step. This was fun for me. Rolling pin made of scraps of cherry and pear. Writing pens, one of pine, one of pear, and one of mahogany. The ornament is mahogany. Those of you with a Shopsmith, show us what you have. Looking forward to seeing your posts of "made on a Shopsmith" real soon.
  2. WOW! What a week it has been here in the Woodturner's Forum. Forgive me if I missed a post. Before we get started, please check out this post for posting your projects.   3. After many months of waiting and drying, they are finally finished and just in time. I, too, am finished for a few days. But, here is where this journey began. This is the trunk of one Bradford pear tree that grew near the flagpole of our church and school. At this point of the I have coated with 2 coats of Anchor Seal that I purchased from Walmart online. $30 per gallon April 2020. In August of 2020, I cut those stumps into 2" X 2". They were then left to dry until November when the turning started.

  5. Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving, tomorrow. Please don't forget that we are in the midst of our Adopt a Wounded Warrior Family project. We still need about $500 to meet our goal. While we are giving thanks for what we have, let us not forget about those who sacrificed so much to provide us with that opportunity.
