  1. Have a current order for honey dippers, this is the first batch of 20 finished. Some of the these have some really nice grain in the lids. Steve
  2. Abbreviated edition tonight. Life here has taken an entirely new direction. Our Patriot Turners- @RustyFN showed us the beginnings of a vase he is going to turn. This will be from a glued up blank. Rusty shows us some additional images in his ongoing post- Last week we posted a bowl by @RustyFN. That posted generated lots of discussion on methods of attaching a turning on a chuck. If you missed the follow-ups, here's the entire post- What’s Coming Up- Please join us for the 4th Annual Woodturning symposium on October 4th-6th Click on the above image for the link to more information and registration For The Newbies- Mike Peace has a short video describing how to use a "non-turning" tool to help make duplicating on the lathe a little easier. I have used this idea in the past and it really works! Expand Your Horizons- The AAW has offered a free digital download of Woodturning FUNdamentals. You can get your copy here- https://www.woodturner.org/page/FundamentalsSpecialCompIssue Mike also has a review video of the D_Way beading tool. The tool is available from- https://d-waytools.com/ New Turning Items- Tim Yoder create a beautiful handle for a new stainless steel honey dipper. Everything Else- I did manage to find a couple of minutes to put finish on the little hollow vessel I had turned. The finial was the one I used the spreadsheet formulas to design. Safe turning
