Have a drawer with some measuring tools next to my miter saw. Also now have 2 extra blades that required a home. As the drawer was deep enough I decided to make a false bottom that would let one saw blade side in a plastic tray at bottom, then a tray above, then finally a top tray for the original measuring tools. Sounded easy when I got started, and as usual took more time than I thought. Original set up. Lowest tray storage Middle tray storage. For the center knob I went to the lathe and used a drill chuck to make the 1/4 stem and 7/8 button to hold the blade. Easy with a lathe and results were not bad. Blade installed. Has a piece of Lexan to keep space between trays and not let the upper tray rub the saw blade. And finally the upper tray completed and installed. Have to get some foam layouts for the measuring tools all doctored up. Be a few days. Lots of other stuff to get done yet.
