  5. Well, June is over half way done and summer begins on Saturday! It was almost a "4 For" Mimi and me. When we were married it was the first day of summer (and the longest day of my life the year). This year the first day of summer falls on June 20. Had it been one day later we could have had Fathers Day, first day of summer, longest day of the year and our anniversary all at once! Please remember that our annual fundraiser/raffle is being held.   7. Well the weather here in South Central PA is finally starting to look more like spring. Only 3 days in the last 4 weeks have had above average temperatures. Maybe I can get some plants into the garden! Our Patriot Turners- @Gerald turned a gorgeous vase from chestnut oak. Not only does it have a beautiful shape, Gerald also finished it with various stains to create fantastic depths of color.   16. Our Patriot Turners- @FlGatorwood gave us a heads up about a new "OneWay" lathe that can be used while sitting. Several of our turners have devised their own methods of using a lathe in a sitting position. Our turners offered several suggestions and modifications.
