  2. Hard to believe but only two more days left in April! Really looking forward to summer weather. Our Patriot Turners- @Gerald gave us a peek at his shop made parting tool. Unlike a lot of parting tools, this one cuts cleanly. Gerald explains how he created this tool, in his post- @RustyFN posted his almost completed combination bowl.   3. A little longer post this week. Was away last week and didn't have access to my weekly list of stuff to post. Our Patriot Turners- @RustyFN posted a picture of a bowl he started for a continuing project with the turning club in which he is a member. Rusty showed us a picture of what will be added to this turning, during a future club meeting. Turning can be a messy hobby.   4. It's been computer madness here so far this week! I think I need a vacation!!! Our Patriot Turners- @AndrewB used a glued up poplar blank for a pepper grinder. Looks really nice.   5. Saw this pop up on E-Bay, today. Looks like it will sure beat trying to turn dowels one at a time on the lathe Our Patriot Turners- @RustyFN posted another one of his beautiful segmented bowls. I really like how he made the bottom of it. Judging from all the positive comments, our turners were in agreement on this beauty.   6. Lots happening with our turners this week... Our Patriot Turners- @FrederickH posted a project in the woodworking section. He is making a box for his lathe chuck/jaws.   7. Walked down to the garden this morning and I see the garlic is starting to poke through the leaf mulch. I guess spring can't be too far away. Don't forget to turn your clocks forward this Saturday night or you will be late to Sunday School! Our Patriot Turners- @Gerald took some time to rearrange his turning area.   8. Here we are, into March already. Hard to believe. The robins have been here for a couple of weeks so I guess spring can't be too far away. Our Patriot Turners- @HandyDan used his machinist skills to design and build a really useful drilling attachment for his lathe. His tailstock quill was reengineered for easier drilling- Dan received lots of comments on his work!   9. Hope all of our turners have heat and electricity. Looks like we are due for another dusting here in south central PA. Our Patriot Turners- @Gerald spent some time cleaning up around his lathe and sorting out drawer contents. That's something I know needs done in my shop a sediment shared by our members. @Ron Altier has been working on a couple of projects. He spent time modifying some canes he made. These are beauties!   13. Our Adopted Family Christmas Project was a complete success. Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to the raffle winners!   16. Well so far the big snow storm has been more hype than happen. About 6" on the ground and very little happening now. The weather folks are still predicting it to pick up over night.   17. Here it is December already. Time sure goes fast when you are quarantined- NOT!!! Christmas is fast approaching and we are determined to make our adopted family's Christmas one to remember.   18. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. It won't be the typical holiday to which most of us have been accustomed. However, let's give thanks for what we do have. There are those who have a lot less and are in more dire predicaments than us. Let's share our good fortune with our adopted wounded warrior family.   21. Can you believe it? Tomorrow is the first day of October! One of own, @Charles Nicholls, could use some prayers and good thoughts. Charles is in the hospital and hopefully recovering but if you could take a moment and send some positive energy his way, I'm sure it will be appreciated.   24. 50 years ago, I started teaching at the local Vocational School. After retiring, I continued to substitute for another 17 years. This year I finally decided to officially retire.
