Thanks guys. I'm sure something will show up soon. I'll be itching to get back on the tools once we're all done!

Zippo on my workbench apart from boxes. We're packing up to move house when we find another rental. Current landlords want to let family use the house, so out we go. Hopefully find something soon, but the market isn't great with the virus around and people losing jobs etc.

I think it depends on what I'm gluing. I don't mess around trying to spread and then join the pieces, so I don't think I have issues with it drying too much usually. But if I'm not 100% sure I've got enough coverage I might use it on both pieces, like a rough mortise and tenon (which mine still can be, still practising), just to help that bond. But usually only then.

But maybe it's not sealed yet and they want to wait and spray seal the whole lot at once?

Well thank you gents. It is pretty fancy, but it was a good way to keep practicing skills with a purpose in mind. And since my wife really wanted to hide the tray, we had to come up with an option with WAF (wife appreciation factor) suitable.

Hi Gerald It's prelaminated - offcut from larger sheets from a different project (round table if I recall correctly, circa 2018/2019) that we can purchase from our local big box. I can't claim that good a lamination

Thanks Gene, not too bad for my first go. My mortise and tenon work needs more practice, but it is improving slowly.

It was my first time making "tapered" legs. Just a simple taper, but I'm pleased with the results. Made a simple jig to do them which helped.

Hahaha! Not exactly up to code though, single entry, no windows (but at least has ventilation), no plumbing.....

It's great, and so nice to have her spend time in the workshop with me. And as we both grow in skill, well who knows where that might lead.

No Danl, you're right on the money, Keith went for a house for the cats, but it is a litter tray cabinet. Well done! The portion on the right is for storage. I have mounted the shelf on the middle for the tray to sit on, which will slide out. And a half=length shelf in the storage area to divide the space. I created the template for routing out the "ladder" for the entranceway and hope to make that today and finish it, and that will be the main cabinet done. All that will be left is the legs.

Thanks Gene. It's certainly been nice to see my own progress in this one. Feeling more confident with some aspects these days. Still a way to go, which will probably never end, but I'm happy with it so far.

Not a recycle bin, chicken coop, or a whatchamacallit More pics coming soon....

Closest so far

Yes we do - but not a lobster trap either, and not for holding a lobster tank

Not a trap Lol Gerald. I suspect if I used it for that I might find it difficult.

It has never been an issue getting tools if I want them, as she knows I only buy what I need, when I need it. But now there's even more incentive when she wants to use them too

The piece inset in the left is a scrap left over from another project. It bowed a little, but isn't causing me any grief. The back piece is ply, so not going to cause me issues. The glue lam sheets have never caused my any issues in the past It's not a wallaby trap, nor a duck blind

On my bench is what's in my post on the guessing game......which I'm not revealing here Suffice to say, it's coming along very well, and I'll have update pics to post once some guesses are made....
