Gunny, if you have turned any Corain, post a picture. I'd like to see some of it turned. How would you campare hardness and does it split or chip much?

Only project I have turned recently is this. If using a skew chisel it wears the edge down alot faster than say the EZ Wood tools carbide cutter. I used that one for this and it was alot easier. Unlike acrylic it doesn't chip unless you try to go too fast. Doesn't chatter much if at all.
You want some squares I can send some your way.

Just as a caution to your friend with the (ceiling?) fans you have made the pulls for.... the plastic switches now use in most fans are not very sturdy and extra weight/strenuous pulling with break the switches (circled in this picture). I take apart ceiling fans with alarming regularity at our local Restore (we have WAAAAY too many to sell used and a lot of new ones on the floor to sell). we pull the copper windings out to sell the copper.
Those are really nice looking and I hope they like them.
