That’s a great idea!!! My contractor told me it be perfect for a family of little people but he’s only a little over 5’!!! It make a great play room for smaller children but I’m getting too old for that

Lew The upstairs is on 4’ 10” because my shop is 14’ tall. But it’s only an extra bedroom and storage so I’ll make it work.

So do you have this same carpenter for the entire build, or just the framing?

John Thank you. He’s doing the entire build except for heating and cooling.

R21 insulation in walls on outside of shop r19 on wall between shop and living quarters drywall on inside of living quarters. Shop walls are 5/8 Osb. Ceilings are 5/8 osb blown in insulation

Hi everyone

Here’s the process of the 2nd week of work on my new shop with living quarters. The 2nd floor will only be roughly 4’ 10” but I only have 14’ walls in this shop. It will primarily be used for storage and extra bedroom.

There is only 1 access door from the shop to the living quarters and I’ll have air filter in my living quarters as well

in November of 2021 I purchased a small piece of land that had a 30’ by 70’ shop on it. It’s going to be half my shop and the other my living quarters. Nothing fancy.

John Morris I was at the VA Blind center in Hines Illinois when I did these on a older Nova lathe. I only have the bench top Laguna lathe that I need to order a new pulley for because I bent it. Least that’s what I think is wrong.

John Morris Unfortunately there’s no adaptive that know of for wood turning. I go slow and take my time . Do little more sanding if I have to. Pray for the best.

When my daughter Grace was younger my Aunt gave her this puzzle with her name on it. I decided I should put in a frame to preserve it for her. I made a box for the cardboard box the puzzle came as well. I’ll probably hold on to it until she has her first child. Hopefully that’ll be awhile. Don’t think she’ll be much on it now since she’s just turning 16.

My Grandfather gave me this pair of Klein needle nose pliers right before I shipped off to my first tour in the army. Never used them i just wrapped them up and put in my foot locker. Didn’t want to lose them.

If a circular saw then some sawhorses, cross support, straight edge from the Borg, couple clamps and set to your saw blade for a cut.
