Introduction
Laguna Tools owners Catherine and Torben Helshoj immigrated to the United States from Denmark and opened their business in the U.S. They are staunch supporters of our men and women in the Armed Forces here in the United States, they appreciate their hard work and sacrifices and give thanks in many ways. One way is to support The Patriot Woodworker’s projects that are geared towards our American Veterans and especially veterans with disabilities.
Laguna Tools History
Laguna Tools was founded in 1983 by Torben Helshoj who saw an opportunity to bring high-quality European woodworking machinery to the US. The first tools to be introduced were combination machines and soon lead to Laguna Tools’ most iconic machine, the Italian Bandsaw.

Involvement
Laguna Tools has been with The Patriot Woodworker's since the early days. Our main contact has been Catherine Helshoj (owner) of Laguna Tools, and she takes a personal interest in the men and women who serve our nation. From one of our early projects with Catherine Helshoj and Collaborative Courts, we came together and we helped Laguna Tools raise money for an organization that takes our "in crisis" veterans off the streets, and directs them back on track.
Laguna Tools is right in the middle of all our veterans outreach project within The Patriot Woodworker, our fighting men and women of our Armed Forces have a great partner in Laguna Tools when it comes to community outreach and compassion towards our veterans.
