New Wilton vise, for the road!

I'm thinking so. I have a large vise collection and this is the only one that has a sliding beam that has a locking pin. It would be a pain to put it in use. You need to pull the pin and try to find the size needed because the jaws only move about 1-1/2". I reminds me of a wood working pipe clamp.

I'll take this thread the other way, with a "Baby Bullet" 2 1/2" jawed swivel base.

I inherited this from my long time co-worker/friend Ollie. I don't think it was ever mounted to a bench or used.

I just looked on ebay!, and about fell over at what they're listed at. :JawDrop:

I love those old Wilton bullet vises. I worked at one of our plants near KC back in the 80s, and there must have been 50 of the larger ones all over the plant. That plant was shuttered last year and I can't help but wonder what happened to those wonderful vises.
