Helps the tree grow In the 1990's I was working on and off on gold exploration projects in Mexico. One expression I heard often was "Voy a mi arbolito".... One old guy even explained to this dumb gringo the difference between that and "Voy a mi ranchito" That old timer was the only one I ever heard use the second expression, he may have made it up or perhaps so much of Mexico has moved beyond outdoor "plumbing" that no one knows it any more. Popular Post JWD
That tub tops the one I talked my ex out of in Santa Fe just a few years ago. The one she admired was carved out of travertine and cost a mere $15k as I remember. Talking her out of it is not why she's my ex btw Most of the reason I succeeded in this was because she is basically a sensible person and I pointed out just how much floor reinforcement we'd have to do to support the weight, and just what a pain it was going to be to move a stone tub - we'd just ripped out some 1960's cast iron inserts which were plenty heavy and the memory of that was still fresh in her mind. Next step of success was finding a very similarly shaped hollow molded tub on the internet. That one weighed so little I had to stick it down with caulk! It was super easy to move into a tight space. The molded tub was actually more attractive to my eye than the stone one. Stone is often fairly fragile and the carver didn't trust travertine to not break, so it wasn't as gracefully shaped as the one I later found on the internet. That house was one of the best remodels we ever did, I almost miss living there. Gerald, DuckSoup, Larry Buskirk and 2 others
