Stayed overcast yesterday until about 3:30P so we never made the 90's. It was tolerable. Cleared completely by the time we went for pictures at the church at 7P. At 5P, NWS placed us under a Heat Advisory for today.

Current, clear starlit sky, 66°.  NWS reissued, Heat Advisory ~3A. High today mid 90's, dewpoint, mid to upper 70's will translate to Heat Index 100°-105°. We're also under a Slight Risk for Severe storms late tonight through early Thursday. To round out the day, we're also under a High Pollen Alert.

Thus far, no mention for locusts, frogs, cats & dogs or drowning geese. However, I may remain proactive by protecting myself indoors with a sweet tea over lots of ice. Should have picked up a dozen donuts last night...

Heat advisory for us as well today....Low 90s with a dewpoint in the mid 70s. Started at 70° and felt muggy early on, should be quite  miserable. The good news is the is the last 90° for a while, we drop into the low 80 in a few days, more normal for us this time of the year. Should get some rain as well, it's in the forecast for the next 5-6 days.

Really uncomfortable this morning, 74° and a dewpoint in the upper 60s. Yesterday kinda sucked as well. There is a sprinkle moving over the area as I type this, not enough to even get anything wet. Today will be near 90 and with the high humidity we will have a heat index near 100. Nothing outside again today.....probably nothing inside as well.

Well (53 minutes later), I lied. Our light sprinkle has turned into a pretty good shower, may even get a few tenths before it passes on.

Yesterday was extremely uncomfortable with the sun, 92° and high humidity/dewpoint. Around 6P, a quite noisy thunderstorm rolled in. It passed fairly quick, but brought some much needed rain...good kind...from 6P throughout the night we received about 6/10" so it really soaked in. Grass already shows signs of revival.

Started today cooler, but a muggy 66°. Mostly overcast, a muggy 69°; 81° for high with scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Pretty heavy thunderstorm less than 12 miles away in our county seat. May be tolerable enough later on to do a few things in the garage.

Got a late start this morning.  Had a power outage, not weather related, someone hit a pole.  One 120V line was fine but the other somehow didn't go out all together but had severely diminished voltage.  Ran and shut the whole house down until it was repaired.  Was off about two hours.

Supposed to get some decent rain in the afternoon and evening.  Not getting my hopes up.  Upper 80s and humid all day.

We wound up with a tad over .4" of rain yesterday...much more than I expected, and I'm not complaining.....unless it makes the grass grow enough to need mowing. It also didn't get nearly as hot since it was really cloudy until 5P or so. But it was still miserable with the humidity; same for today except the sun is out and we may get to 90, we are in the summer doldrums.
