Popular Post Gene Howe
My work bench, a 4X8 piece of 3/4 OSB on the old bench top, has been a rotating tool storage, alternating with the floor, for way too long. Today, I can finally get a good portion of that crap sorted and hung on a peg board wall. Might even get some hardwood moved from under the tarp, to the new lumber rack. Was notified that the 32 sticks of 1/2" EMT will be delivered today. We'll likely be hanging it all between the ceiling beams tomorrow. Then we can string the LED strip lights on the EMT. Had to laugh, my first thought was one of the best wood carvings I'd seen in a while. I was wondering how the carver achieved such life like hair. The beer can showed the size of the cat and I was about to lay some heavy praise on your carving..................only to find out it was the model laying there Gene Howe, Gunny, p_toad and 4 others
Popular Post Gerald
After a week at the beach. I picked up a Mosin Nagant Carbine for a song this morning. Now to clean it and maybe to the range later this week. Got to put away the tools and stuff from the Pickle Fest event of week before last. Oh almost forgot have to transplant some trees I dug out of flowerbeds to go on my son's new land into separate containers Gunny, DuckSoup, Fred W. kmealy
Did some assembly work at furniture bank today. Assembled chairs 4-6 that I got a start on 1-3 last week. Then went to do the matching table and no legs present. Will probably need to make some. as it's a nice table. Went on to the second dining set and one piece was missing so I made one. Then it looked like one other piece was missing and found it later when it was stuck between two chairs. So had to take it all apart and back together. Then on the last chair, one front leg was missing. So now it's a bar-top height table with 3 chairs. These were donated from a large furniture store nearby so don't know if they got them short of parts or they didn't get them back in the box before donation. Fine quality stuff from Vietnam. Popular Post Gene Howe
The 32 sticks of 1/2" EMT arrived Monday evening and, was installed Tuesday. Got 150' of light strip up, also. The next 150' goes up today. Then, most of the lighting will be done. Still have 4 ea. 4' task lights to hang but, that'll come later, once all the work stations have been built. Popular Post Gunny
My Dad had this door and frame in shop for 3 years. Mother wanted it installed. Took it apart for her and taped it up so she could paint frame and door. She called and said it was ready for installation. Took about 2 hours, had to make a trip to get some new trim pieces around outside of door. Used PVC trim, no rot and quick and easy install. No, when they built the house they chose green for trim. Shop was built same way. Dad never painted old door so it was primer grey / white. p_toad and Cal
