Popular Post Cal
The film looks interesting. While new england is getting a big winter storm (again) - our version was a big steady rain all day yesterday followed by cold and windy today. So today I will be doing some vinyl work and staying pretty close to inside I expect. I may even take a look at the tax situation, but I think I am missing some of the info I need for it. The balance of the week TBD. Larry Buskirk, John Morris, HARO50 and 3 others

Popular Post Masonsailor
This week the media room project is down to gluing and clamping. Lots of it. I also have to conjure up a toy car for my latest grandson's first birthday. Paul John Morris, Larry Buskirk, Gunny and 4 others
Gunny
Have a small box to finish making. It will hold 4 brass weights for my Dad's search and rescue gear. Then continues my window inserts for finishing room. One more needs another coat of finish. Fred W. Hargis Jr, HARO50 and Cal

What is a window insert and, why do you need it in a finishing room? This dummy is curious. Gunny, Cal and HARO50 2

One is a compass, the other a clock and two are magnifying glass. Window inserts. From inside room From outside. Used old sheet and stapled to back. Each insert has a 2 inch piece if foam insulation made into it. Artie, FlGatorwood, Cal and 3 others

Took me a bit to glue the foam to inside pieces then assemble and glue it all up. Should have a picture tomorrow after I cut box in half. Using what I have learned watching @steven newman builds over the years. I might have been paying attention. Harry Brink, Fred W. Popular Post Gerald
Did not get much shop work done yesterday. Working on video of the last club demo. Did get out there for couple hours and got side tracked into a small project rearranging the sanding discs for lathe. Hope to get shop time today. steven newman, Larry Buskirk, p_toad and 5 others
Popular Post Gunny
Took the clamps off and cut in half. Turned out better than I had hoped for first try. Glued all that foam in place BEFORE the box got glued together. Center dividers are a sandwich. One layer of foam, then a piece of 5mm plywood then foam again. Went into grooved slots I made duri9ng set up. They will not be coming out short of cutting box apart. I was sure to mark where to cut when the clamps came off. (Thankfully) What little exposed wood you can see on inside has already had 3 coats of poly, so inside is all done. Got first coat of yellow on this evening. Be a few days before it is all done. Bought them and then dropped them off here asking for a box. They were $60 each, I am guessing that the box to store them was a bit more than he wanted to pay based on price per unit.
