Al B
Scroll saw blade issues. I ordered #5 pinless reverse tooth blades on Amazon and finally got them today. I went to the Wooden Teddy Bear today to order the variety pack of Olson blades. My problem is, I don't see anything on .how to distinguish pinned blades from unpinned blades when ordering . Need help. Edited November 2, 2020 by Al B Cal
DuckSoup
@Al B it appears that they are labeling just their "pinned" blades. On their home page I clicked "blades & bits" & in the drop down menu I clicked "Olson" blades. On the first page it shows 2 assortment packs and the one on the left is labeled "pinned". The SKU also shows the word pinned in it as well. SKU: OLSONPINASST The number I copied below is for plain end or unpinned blades pictured to the right on their page. Hope this helps. OLSON SCROLL SAW BLADE ASSORTMENT PACK SKU: OLSONASST $19.50 Five dozen of some of our most popular Olson blades – DT436, RST446, PGR455, CT625, and SP465. Includes a pouch. RustyFN
I also use clear packing tape to hold everything together. I normally use thin plywood because I mostly do fine fretwork so I stack cut. When I make my crosses in 3/8” hardwood I don’t stack cut. I use Flying Dutchman 3/0 spiral blades for almost everything.
