I ended up converting a 5’ X 9’ closet to make a reloading room. It works pretty well as a one person thing. It gets pretty small with two of us in there but workable. It’s pretty rare it’s more than just me in there.

Gunny  you’ll appreciate our approach this year to the milk jug challenge.  Last year we did it using .338 Lapua and it turned out not to be that big of a deal. You have 10 minutes to shoot ten rounds and with that gear we both succeeded before the fifth round. So we decided to add some fun and challenge this year and are going to be using M1A’s !

These are M1A carbines, not M1 Garands and they are definitely a challenge for me at that distance. 😎

So you are talking about the carbine and not the rifle which I qualified on, known then as a M14 but changed later. Never fired a M1 and only a range demo on the M16. But yes would love to have a M14.

I agree John. Bummer part is that the really dramatic grain occurs near the stump so you never get a lot. I keep it around for shop fixtures and paint grade exterior wood but I’m always on the lookout for those end pieces. They are great for turning too.
