Popular Post RJR
This is a desk I designed for my wife's office. All full extension drawers. This was a Spring project. This was a very efficient layout for her. RJR from Minnesota HandyDan, FlGatorwood, HARO50 and 8 others
Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr
Well done! Can I ask...what's in the pull out try next to the knee hole? I'm guessing a shredder. Popular Post RJR
Yes it is a shredder on a pull out drawer. Behind I made a shelf that holds our main surge protector. This way we can get to plugs easily for devices. RJR FlGatorwood, Cal, Larry Buskirk and 2 others
Popular Post sreilly24590
Excellent results indeed. So you're in Minnesota now? The only thing that might become an issue that I see, or it would be for my wife, is the air duct right where she sits. Maybe a diverter but not much anywhere to divert to. As small as the room is it's likely the only air vent. How close does it sit to the wall? Maybe an upward diverter? Not taking away from the desk which I love but thinking of a comfort level while using it. Cal, HARO50, FlGatorwood and 2 others

Looks like a cold air return, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. I have one right under my desk as well. But with an outside window I'd bet good money on a supply vent. As a retired HVAC guy I feel confident but then again I have been wrong again. As far as comfort, I have one under my open desk and it feels great to me but then my wife hates it when she's at my desk. Women have a tendency to be cooler then men but again not all. As you can see I'm leaving plenty of escape room for myself as 33 years of marriage has taught me. Popular Post RJR
To answer the The question of the air supply register the top of the desk is about an inch from the wall and the cabinets are about 4 inches from the wall. Our granddaughter spent 5 days doing her final college exams and did ask for a light blanket for her legs (wearing shorts) My wife isn’t bothered By it.
