Fred W. Hargis Jr
Ohio just continues settings new records an almost every metric you can count. The Governor seems to be stumped on how to get the citizens to take the whole thing more seriously. We reported almost 5000 new cases yesterday. Link to comment
Gene Howe
After a month or so of low numbers, AZ seems to be headed up again. Yesterday's new cases were 2135. 154 in our county. Our zip is holding steady. @Fred W. Hargis Jr, considering the difference in our state populations, AZ and, OH are running about even in new cases. Link to comment

Schools opened and the claim is that it hasn't caused a problem yet even the counties that had little to no problems with the virus are exploding with cases. It is not just some of the counties having trouble it is all of them. Why does he keep denying the source of the troubles? Yep politics. Link to comment

Cal
Holy cow! I just heard that North Dakota will allow covid positive nurses to continue working! Citing a shortage of nurses and hospitals at full capacity and no let up in sight. There is fine print, to be sure - asymtomatic nurses and only to work in the covid unit, but still... Gene Howe
Man! AZ has posted 3434 new cases. The largest number of new cases since June 29. Our county had 520 and our zip increased by 12. Only one hospitalization, state wide. Is it the weather? Link to comment
Charles Nicholls
Cases are increasing here in Arkansas as well. I hate to say it but unless masks are mandated and people actually follow the mandate. This will continue to be out of control (in my opinion). Either way, we will be dealing with this problem for at least a year (again, in my opinion.) SAD Link to comment
Larry Buskirk
Hospitals at 90%+ capacity in S.E. WI. No capacity left in N.W. part of state. Link to comment
Fred W. Hargis Jr
Well, our Governor announced a mandatory mask mandate yesterday, and charged the stores/companies with ensuring the mandate is followed. He also announced penalties for non-compliance, and an enforcement plan. I'm still not sure if I was a $10/hr. retail store employee I would want to get into a fight with a non-compliant customer.....and there are many who are quite belligerent about the mask thing. But I'm hoping it works. Maybe the larger stores should have the law enforcement agencies on speed dial. Link to comment
