Our guv closed all bars and gyms, strongly cautioned about groups, social distancing and, made masks mandatory when in public. Dine in with, proper distancing, still ok. We had our first restaurant meal since March, last Saturday. 

The county reported 30 new cases yesterday. No new deaths. The state reported 625 new cases with no new deaths.

Places like gyms, bars and other watering holes, theaters and places of mass gatherings are basically shut down again.  Mask are required unless you have a medical condition that prevents wearing a mask.  Alcohol can be purchased at the watering hole, but must be consumed elsewhere with smaller groups of people.  Today, the hospital report was we are now down to 8 ICU beds available throughout the county.  We filled the others yesterday.

Our county posted 55 new cases. The state rose by 4,682! Our zip code now has 30 cases totally.

We added 5 new cases yesterday and have been averaging 10 a day.  That is great for us especially with the state spiking up to an average of 800 new cases a day.  Don't expect it to last.  The bars and restaurants have been busy.

Wisconsin reported the second highest increase day since this mess began. 601 new confirmed cases yesterday.

The states count is now at 28,723 confirmed cases with 786 deaths.

Our county's count is at 1505 confirmed cases with 43 deaths.

Another big count day in Wisconsin the total is now 29,252 confirmed cases with 787 deaths.

Our county numbers are now 1522 confirmed cases with 43 deaths.

The 20-29 year old age group is getting hit the hardest with age 23 being the hardest hit.

Georgia's numbers are now going almost straight up - except for those people under the Governor's thumb who still show the count at near zero  I guess the truth hurts...

 

 

Over 84,000 cases; over 2,800 deaths thus far.

Somehow, I ain't believing this! Our county alone, had 78 new cases. Maybe we seceded?

Yeah, there is a serious disconnect going on Gene.  Tough to reconcile how your county gets 78, but the state as a whole reports "0".

Common sense said don't do it but we went ahead with the grand openings so here we go again. 

Still wanting to open the schools too.

Just isn't enough discipline in this country.  Everyone is an expert until it is time to take the blame.

We are now as a country recording the most new cases daily since this all started.  European countries are reporting less new cases daily than most of our individual states.

That sounds about right....unfortunately. 

Edit: Finally got the numbers from the Adhs site. The NYT is correct.

The news this morning stated that 20% of Wisconsin's confirmed positive cases have been recorded in the past 14 days. The states total now stands at 29,779 with 794 deaths.

Our county's total now stands at 1531 confirmed cases with 44 deaths.

Doesn't look like opening things back up is going so well.

3333 new cases in AZ, total of 87425. 1757 deaths. Our county has 41 new cases and a total of 3744 and 131 deaths. Our zip code has a total of 37 cases. Looking at the zip code map, the vast majority of our county cases are on the three closest Indian reservations. Those folks got hit hard.

And somebody's wishful thinking said "The summer heat will kill it."

From what I read online it would have to get to 132.8° to kill the virus.

I don't know about you but I'm plenty uncomfortable when the temps get into the mid 80's and higher.

Covid parties?  Floriduh needs to look into that... beaches, bars and covid parties - what could go wrong?  Wait a minute, didn't OK & AZ just play host to big time covid parties?  I seen the pics, and there was hardly a mask in sight...

...Are you referring to the no social distancing/masks with the normally overstated attendance rallies?

Some of Pence's secret service detail tested positive after their advance trip to AZ. You'd think that might have been enough to postpone the trip. AZ ain't safe, guys.
