Popular Post Larry Buskirk
Well everyone, we've made it through another week of whatever your state is calling "Social Distancing". Some of you have posted how you are dealing with what we all hope is not the new "Norm" in todays society. Some of you are working in what have been classified as "Essential" positions, and we here "Salute, and Thank You All" It means a lot to those of us that depend on you. We here in S.E. WI spent the past week waiting for the Sun to make an appearance which it did for the first time in a week yesterday. So for us here it more or less felt like Winter was being reluctant to release it's grip on the great outdoors. Hopefully things will dry out enough to get some outdoor time. I need a few good days to unpack the shop so I can play with my toys. So what have you all got planned for the weekend? Not that we're nosy,... just really bored. Cal
I believe yard work is in my forecast. Mostly sunny and warm through the weekend, hope to get a bunch of stuff done. Gunny, Larry Buskirk, lew and 1 other
Popular Post kmealy
It's Friday ?!? Planning to cut down the two Bradford pear trees in the yard before they fall on the house or RV. They stink, they're dirty, they're prone to splitting in about 20 years of age, and they're an invasive species crowding out native species. Off with their heads!! Popular Post Gunny
@Gerald got me thinking I need to change out a deep drawer for 3 smaller ones with his recent project thread BIG SCORE. Got cracking in making the drawers from scrap. NOT a @steven newman quality build with real wood but functional and fits my budget. Working on spraying some sealer on them before I attach bottoms. Also scrap from my sink project. Couple days we should have more storage. Cal, Larry Buskirk, FlGatorwood and 8 others 10

Popular Post Gene Howe
Decided that packing the shop is an exercise in futility. With all the upheavals, the sale of our place is at a standstill. And, we're darned sure not going to go looking for a new house anytime soon. So, I'll stack the packed boxes out of the way and get back to some fun stuff. At least the boxes are labeled so I can find stuff. That's a welcome change. Fred W. Popular Post lew
WE got the grass mowed and the yard cleaned up earlier this week. Not sure what we'll tackle next. @Larry Buskirk One of my best friends family and neighbor, growing up, was from Wisconsin. They used to say that summer in Wisconsin was 3 weeks of bad skiing. p_toad, Cal, Gunny and 7 others
Larry Buskirk
@lew, Didn't they tell you that it was 3 bad weeks of mud skiing? BTW, more rain scheduled for today, into the weekend. p_toad, lew, Gunny and 3 others

Popular Post Larry Buskirk
We got a couple of surprises today. First the forecast rain for this afternoon has held off, and the Sun is shining for now. Second, if the rain does come in for the weekend I'll have something to do. My membership packet for the MWTCA came today. Some of those tools are so "Purdy" I don't think I could bring myself to use them. p_toad, Gunny, FlGatorwood and 3 others 3

Al B
It's looking like we may have a dry weekend, so maybe, that's maybe, I'll be able to do a little yard cleaning. Strong winds and pouring rain has made another mess. FlGatorwood, p_toad, Cal and 3 others 1

Popular Post Fred W. Hargis Jr
Our weather has been so nice, I've been mostly out in the yard prepping it for mowing...which might happen in the next several days. But in the shop I'm still trying to figure out what wood in the stash will go into my assembly table stand. But another projeyct did crop up, I got our lawn benches and furniture out of the barn and into the yard, 2 pieces are teak rockers that are in dire need of a rehab. So I'm sanding them down and will be painting them.....since it's so nice out I'm sanding them outside; I have to admit that's quite enjoyable....even for sanding. I remember when the cabinet was the size of the wall and the TV would fit INSIDE the cabinet. Now just the opposite. Managed to get all the final finishing work and pieces of this puzzle put together this morning. Can say, COMPLETED PROJECT. Moving on though I have 3 more lifetimes let of projects.
