John Morris Posted March 22, 2020 Report Posted March 22, 2020 View File Workbench Magazine July-August 1967 Versatile Apothocary Chest Quote This attractive apothecary chest is patterned after those once found in drugstores, and actually has two large and three small drawers rather than the nine small ones its appearance would suggest. This modification makes the chest versatile enough to be used as a dresser in a bedroom, or as a small buffet in a dining area. The chest shown was constructed of pine, but any clear, straight-grained wood can be used. Solid stock will have to be edge-glued to make the panels, while hardwood plywood will require taping of the edges. Cut the sides to the dimensions given in the drawing and Materials List and cut the two stopped dadoes and the rabbets in each to accept the frames.
