Pen and Ink

I use to draw as a kid,...just pencil. A few years ago I revisited that except in pen and ink. I did one for a taxidermist friend of mine and recently finished this one for a family I hunt on. Here is a print of my original that I'm sending to them......also I have lots of books on various subjects that interest me. My choice of pen and ink style art is a guy named Eric Sloane, He specialized in early Americana,......lots of barns,..bridges,..even one entire book on early american tools. They're a great read and relatively inexpensive. You guys check him out,...here's a pic of my chicken scratch and also some examples of E. Sloanes unique work.

 You wouldn't use any of those cool radiograph pens would ya  ? I've thought of trying some,...they don't exactly fit my style but I read good things about them for fine straight line work.

Interesting stuff, enjoyed reading up on it. You and Dan got me beat. My chicken scratch drawings / blueprints are usually on a napkin.

 

I might one day endeavor to try ketchup.

Mine told me just don't and took away the crayons.

i wasn't allowed to take any non "college prep" classes in school (not that that ever served me well in any way), but i did learn to use my architect's rule and my version of blueprints for my house are what's on file here.
