Popular Post lew
The things I get myself into... Finished up the "market stand" for a local library. They supplied this picture as an example of what they wanted- From that, and several conversations, I ended up with this Sketchup idea- My original intention was to make all of the joints mortise and tenon but then opted for dados. 3/4" red oak ply from Lowes. Pleasantly surprised at how flat it stayed after breaking down the full sheet. The exposed plywood edges were banded with melt on veneer and/or some shop made edging. Couple of coats of gloss poly. Screws countersunk and plugged. The library supplied the "blackboard paint". The uprights are 1 1/2" PVC. Someone else will have to create the banner to cover the cross piece. Now I'll need to find some volunteers to carry it up the steps and to the pickup truck.
