Popular Post Masonsailor
Finished trimming it out today. Now a couple of coats of finish and I can start mounting the tulips and glass shelving. I am going to do the door last. Masonsailor
Last two days have been productive. The first coat of finish is on, the brass rod is fit and ready to stack on the turnings and platters. I had to build a quick router jig to flatten off the top of the turnings. Also the lighting was installed. I used LED RGB strip lighting. This has been a long one but the end is in sight ! Cal
Beautiful casework Paul. May I ask where the wife found the HVAC cover for the inlet? It sure does look better than that white grill Gunny and FlGatorwood

Masonsailor
Yes they are RGB. Cal the wife needs to look up where the return air grill came from. Should have it tomorrow. Paul FlGatorwood, Gunny and Cal 2

FlGatorwood
Before I read your last post, I knew that was a floor register. From the old days when I was a child, they either fit as a return register or sat on top of the old gas or oil floor furnaces. Paul, as usual, you did a fantastic job. When I first saw the pole, I thought you were working on a dance club but could not figure out how small the girls would have to be to fit into the space. It turned out totally different that what I could imagine. Kudos. Gerald, Gunny, p_toad and 1 other
Cal
Thanks Paul. Didn't see my size listed (20x20) - but knowing that I can consider a floor register will open up whole new possibilities for me. I appreciate it Gunny and FlGatorwood
Gunny
Just for giggles take a Barbie Doll in bikini and wrap it around the pole, real conversation starter. Cal, p_toad, FlGatorwood and 1 other
Masonsailor
The glass arrived so now I can finish this project. I was afraid the mitered joints even though they were put together with biscuits would not be able to withstand the weight of the glass which is pretty heavy. I decided to key them together for a little added strength. The Shaper Origin really made easy work of them. In the past I would have used a forstner bit and round inserts across the joints. Both work but I am pleased with the look of the shaped pieces. Paul lew, Cal and p_toad
