Popular Post Ron Altier 7,639
Today I finished and hung my Christmas tree ornament display above the fireplace. It is 6 feet tall with 76 ornaments that I made of mostly of exotic woods. That includes the angel on top. I've made about 150, I do NOT sell them, I give them to my wife, daughters and grandchildren. I've made over 150 and enjoy each and every one Cal, Gerald, DuckSoup and 8 others 10

Is the background painted oneline at a time? The background is quarter inch ply, one good side. I painted it all green and then used an old ratty 1 inch paint brush and white paint to simulate pine branches. The old brush had some stiff bristles and bad places, just perfect to get the effect I wanted. Cal, Gunny, Artie and 2 others 4

This is definitely a labor of love. I started about 3 years ago just to see if I could do it. They got more complex as I learned to be more creative. My family kept encouraging me because they all wanted some. Each Christmas they pick out the ones they want, (providing grandma hasn't already chosen it.)
