Al B
I've noticed an ad on facebook for a New DeWalt 15 amp, 13", 2 speed thickness planer for $147.84 with blades. The address given is Powjuice.com. I'd love to own one but this must be a scam. Has anyone ever hear of them? Not about to provide my credit card information or anything else to them without some insurance this isn't a scam. That sounds like a price at about 25% of list pricing. Fred W. Hargis Jr
If it sounds to good to be true (and this does) it probably is. On another forum I visit someone found a Dewalt 735 for $129, but the sellers were located in the middle east somewhere. Al B
The advertised price here was $129. As I inquired further there were different prices to include blades and or the stand. Definitely sounds too good to be true. Cal and FlGatorwood

Popular Post Gunny
Interesting. I see this as the new version of the guy with some junky car pulling up and opening the trunk with AMAZING deals to be had. Problem is you need a radiation suit to touch the stuff. Gene Howe
About 30 years ago, I bought a slightly used Skil 77 worm drive for $35 from some guy on the street. I thought I might need asbestos gloves to carry it home. HARO50, Al B, Gunny and 1 other
Artie
Was a serious issue up here in my parts bout 15-20 years ago. All the weekend flea markets would have a couple of tables with someone selling a lot of mostly contractors power tools. When asked how they had so many to sell, the story was always something like, my uncle was a plumber/carpenter/electrician and he died, I’m selling these for my aunt. It got so bad they passed laws requiring proof of sale/ownership to be able to sell tools at these locations. Cut the amount of tools on display for sale to nil. Course Craigslist is another matter, but there’s the risk of the owner who had them stolen from himself, showing up. I helped out such a owner once. The prick that stole them had some story, when confronted he thought his little pee shooter was scary. Ask him someday how come he limps and is missing his trigger finger. Popular Post kmealy
Sort a play on classics: * I'll send you an additional $400 and when the trucking guy shows up, just pay him for the outbound freight and he'll pick up the item and deliver to me * I'm in the service and transferring out of the country and need to sell before getting deployed on Friday. Send me the money and I'll have my {brother, mother, captain, friend} meet you at the storage unit to pick it up. * Go buy a gift card and send me the number or the police are going to show up at your door. * Grandma (sniff, sniff), I'm out of the country and got arrested. They need $400 to get my fines paid. (sniff, sniff) Don't tell mom or dad or they'll be really mad at me. I'll pay you back as soon as I get home. (sniff, sniff) Please help me. Please wire the money to this account. * Prince Ndimani Gneudu has $4 million that he needs to get out of Nigeria. If you will assist, he will allow you to keep $1 million for your services.
